(Al-Ahraf) 7 : 147

And those who reject Our verses and the meeting of the Hereafter, their deeds became futile; shall they be rewarded except for what they have been doing?

The Arabic Quran reading Fujjar are the Mushriks who are hurrying for Doomsday by hiding and rejecting Adhikr from mankind as explained in verses 7: 101-102. As explained in verse 2: 186 without testifying Adhikr, no prayer will be responded to, nor will deeds be accepted by Lord. So all the deeds of Fujjar are in vain as explained in verse 6: 31. The aimless and heedless Fujjar are earning Hell instead of earning Paradise as explained in verses 2: 286 and 3: 182.

It is told in verse 36: 54 that on the Day of Judgment, no soul will be wronged at all, and none will be recompensed except for what they used to do. Verse 34: 33 also ends by asking: "Shall they be rewarded except for what they have been doing?" See explanation 2: 254; 3: 117; 4: 44, and 18: 103-106.
