And the companions of left hand; who are the companions of left hand?
As explained in verse 3: 7, thirty years after the departure of Messenger Muhammad, the Fujjar who are reading the Arabic Qur’an, including the hypocrites (Kafir) and the Fajir, are the companions of the left hand. They are mentioned as those "who have done injustice to their soul" in verse 35: 32. As explained in verse 4: 118, Satan will entrap nine hundred and ninety-nine out of each thousand from among the people of the 313 Messengers. Among them, the hypocritical leaders who are commanding the evil and are forbidding the good, and upon whom the wrath and curse of Allah are affected, will go to Hell even without Trial as explained in verse 4: 145, whereas their followers will go to Hell after Trial as explained in verse 39: 71. If the hypocrites are hiding Adhikr, their followers are rejecting It.
Besides arguing and witnessing against them the verses they saw, heard, touched, and read as explained in verse 9: 82, their own sights, hearings, skins, tongues, hands, and legs, etc., and even the earth will also witness against them as explained in verses 24: 24; 36: 65; 41: 19-24; and 99: 4-5. As explained in verse 7: 37, at the time of their death, they will witness against their soul that indeed, they were among the disbelievers; and on the Day of Judgment, they will witness as explained in verse 6: 130. As explained in verse 39: 59, at the time of such Fujjar’s death, the Lord will tell them: "You were among the disbelievers." It is told in verses 84: 10-15 that those who will go to Hell will get the Book of deeds in the left hand from behind them, and they will wail for perishing, and they will be roasted in Hell; that is because they were rejoicing in the worldly life with their families and were thinking that they would not be summoned for reckoning, but their Lord was Oft-Observing them. See explanation 9: 67-68; 48: 6; 90: 19-20; and 98: 6.
