(Yaaseen) 36 : 65

Today We shall put a seal upon their mouths, their hands will speak to Us, and their legs will witness to Us about what they had been earning.

On the Day of Trembling, the disbelievers will not need to speak with their mouths. Instead, their skins, eyes, hands, legs, and even their sexual organs will reflect what they have been earning in this world. Moreover, the book of deeds fastened around everyone’s neck, as told in verses 17:13-14, will be given to them as an open ledger, and it will be said: “Read your book; it is enough today for your reckoning.” The Arabic Quran-reading Fujjar, who do not see the Lord through Adhikr—the Insight—will not see the Lord in the Hereafter, as there will be an unseen barrier between them and the Lord, as told in verse 83:15. The verse says “about what they had been earning” instead of “about what they had been doing” because Hell and Paradise are earned by each person, and the Impartial Lord doesn’t grant anyone Hell or Paradise as hypocrites teach. Therefore, the believer spends every moment after the age of fifteen until death under the light of Adhikr, remembering Allah, as explained in verses 2:152 and 3:190-191. See explanation 9:80-82; 22:9-10; 45:28-31.
