ADHIKR

This Surath got the name “Zalzala (Quaking)” from the first verse, which says, “When the earth will be quaked with her utmost quaking.” This Surath containing eight verses was revealed during the Messenger’s Medina period together with the Surath Hajj (22).

This Surath explains the scene of the events that will occur on the Last Day, after the earth's structures have changed. The mankind buried in the earth will be resurrected and will be summoned to the place of Judgment in small groups to see their records. Anyhow, one lived here, the earth will produce its record on the Day of Judgment about him, and everyone will be rewarded on the Day of Judgment for the good and evil which he or she had been earning.
