With the name of Allah, the Impartial, the Compassionate.
(98) Al-Bayyina
This Surath got the name “Al Bayyina (the Evidence)” from the first verse, which says that “those who are disbelievers from the people of the Book and those who are associating others in the dominion of Allah won’t abstain from their doubt and disbelief until they get Evidence”. This Surath was revealed during the Medina life of the Messenger.
In this Surath, it is reminded that those who were given the Book in all periods were not disintegrated until they got Adhikr, which contains the Straight ways of previous Books revealed from Allah. It is also taught that the Lifeway which Lord’s Book submits is the Straightpath near Allah in every period, and that prayer and Zakath–Welfare Tax–should be performed to establish It. Along with teaching that the Hypocrites who hide Adhikr after receiving It, and their blind followers–Mushriks–who reject It after receiving are the worst creatures in the land, it is also taught that those who form belief with Adhikr and are propagating It to the entire world are the best creatures in the land. This Surath, containing eight verses, ends by giving the Glad Tidings that for such believers will have eternal blissful life in Paradise forever.
