Nay, indeed, the ledger of the Fujjar is in Sijjeen.
As explained in verse 3: 7, after 30 years of the Messenger’s departure, among the three groups—Fajir, Kafir, and believer—who read the Lord’s Book, the Fajir and Kafir are the Fujjar. Even though Fujjar is the plural form of Fajir, the Fujjar mentioned here include both the Hypocrites—Kafirs—and their blind followers—Fajirs. As told in verses 83: 34 and 83: 36, the Fujjar are the Kuffar. The Fujjar have read verses 9: 67–68, which say that Hellfire is promised to the hypocritical transgressing men and women, as well as Kuffar who hide and reject Adhikr. It is told in verse 48: 6 that the hypocritical men and hypocritical women, and the Mushrik men and the Mushrik women who have an evil concept regarding Allah, upon them are evil consequences; upon them the wrath of Allah has come; Allah has cursed them; and for them He has kept prepared Hell—what an evil returning place! And in verse 98: 6 it is told that these Fujjar who are in the Hellfire are the worst creatures in the land. In verse 8: 22 these Fujjar—who do not utilize their intelligence, who are deaf to hearing Adhikr, and who are dumb for speaking about Adhikr to others—are mentioned as the worst creatures among a thousand communities of the Lord’s creatures. In verse 25: 34 it is told that those who are living here without testifying Adhikr—the Best Interpretation of the Lord’s Book mentioned in verse 25: 33—will be summoned to Hell, dragged prone on their faces; such are in the worst place and are the most strayed. See explanation 1: 7; 9: 31; and 82: 14–15.
