(Al-Anfal) 8 : 23
If Lord Allah had known about any good in them, He would have made them hear; yet, even though they hear, they would still neglect and turn away.
It is told in verse 31: 7 about such disbelievers: “Whenever verses of Lord are explained upon them, they will turn arrogantly from It as if they have a veil on their ear; inform him glad news that he has a painful punishment”. It is told in verse 32: 22: “Who is more unjust than the one who is reminded with verses of Lord, then neglect It; indeed, Lord will revenge such Mujirims”. Read together at 20: 14 and 124-127. See explanation2: 6-7; 5: 21, 51 and 7: 178-179.
