(An-Naba') 78 : 7
وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا
And the mountains as nails?
It is the duty of the people of the Messenger Muhammad—who have inherited the Lord’s Book, as told in verse 35: 32—to advise the other people of the Messenger’s community with Adhikr, to restrain them from deeds that destroy the universe. But these Fujjar—who read in the Arabic Qur’an that mountains are nails preventing the earth from swaying—are at the forefront all over the world in constructing huge buildings in cultivated lands and valleys by breaking up mountains and hills. Thus, they deserve to be dragged into Hellfire prone on their faces; they are in the worst place and are the most strayed, as explained in verses 25: 33-34. See explanation 8: 22; 16: 15; and 77: 27.
