And didn’t We make seven skies above you?
Just as there are seven skies one above another, there are seven earths below one after another, as explained in verse 65: 12. As explained in verses 71: 14-15, there are seven phases for mankind as well. The believer—one in a thousand—prepares Paradise in this fourth phase to inherit it in the seventh phase. Such believers, while reading verse 1: 4, pray with the soul to be braced upon the Straightpath—the Path of Adhikr—which is the only Path of those whom Allah has favored from the Prophets, the Truthful, the Martyrs, and the Righteous, as explained in verses 4: 68-69; and while reading verse 1: 7, pray with the soul not to be included among the Arabic Qur’an-reading Fujjar, including the Hypocrites upon whom the wrath of Allah has fallen, and their followers who are astray.
