(77) Al-Mursalath
This Surah is named Al Mursalath—“the Blowing Wind”—from the first verse, which says “the wind blowing continuously.” This Surah, containing 50 verses, was revealed in the early period of the Messenger’s Meccan life. By explaining the peculiarities of the blowing wind, this Surah emphasizes that after altering the structure of the universe seen today, the Day of Judgement will be implemented. Along with warning the disbelievers—ten times—that those who reject Adhikr will have the “Veile valley” on the Day of Judgement, this Surah also gives glad tidings that the heedful who lead a life under the Light of Adhikr will get the good life they desire. This Surah ends by asking: by rejecting Adhikr, in which speech are these disbelieving Mujirims going to believe?
