ADHIKR

This Surah got the name Noah from the first verse which says “indeed We had sent Noah in to his people”. This Surah which is revealed in the early period of Messenger’s Maccan life strictly warns the people until the last Day of last Messenger and prophet Muhammed by pointing out the method of Messenger Noah warning his people and how their response towards him was. This Surah reminds that if Adhikr-the Message of Allah-is followed, there will be increase in the wealth and children, and will get a prosperous life in this world itself. At last when the people of Noah became ignoring the warnings and following their Hypocritical leaders, and became hateful even to see Noah, Lord Allah make Noah praying as “You shouldn’t leave any of disbelievers’ house without destroying”. Thus due to their own sins, they all were drowned by a flood. This Surah containing 28 verses ends commanding the believers that they should only seek forgiveness for believing men as well as believing women, and should not pray for the wrongdoers even though they are close relatives as “You shouldn’t increase anything except perdition for them”.
