(62) Al-Jumua

This Surah got the name Al Jumua-The Congregation-from the ninth verse which says that “Oh you who believed! If you are called for prayer on the Day of Congregation, then you hurry up to the Remembrance of Allah”. The verses from first to eighth were revealed in the seventh year of Hijra during the Medina life of Messenger Muhammed, and the rest nine to eleventh verses were revealed in the first year of Hijra. Messenger used to recite this Surah which starts by glorifying Allah, and the 63rd Surah in the most of the congregational prayers on Friday.
Allah who has the dominion of the heavens and earth have deputed illiterate Muhammed as Messenger with Adhikr in order to purify a heedless people. Those who read the Arabic Qur’an without knowing the Message of It are bearing It just like the donkeys are bearing the burden, and such are the wrong doers, and Allah won’t guide these wrongdoing people who are fearing the death. This Surah commands the believers that if you are having the aim of life, you have to hurry up to the place where Adhikr is explained after stopping your trade and commerce. This Surah containing eleven verses conclude demanding the believers that you should give first preference to Adhikr which is must for keeping the Remembrance of Lord than anything else of this worldly life.
