(Annajm) 53 : 44
وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا
And indeed, He, He is causing you to die, and causing you to live.
The first birth of mankind, who was created in Paradise and was returned to the nape of Adam after taking the Covenant as explained in verses 7: 172-173, is being done on the earth. Since death happened first as explained in verses 2: 28 and 40: 11-12, death is mentioned first in the verse. See explanation 23: 78-80; and 76: 1.
