(47) Muhammed

This Surah got the name ‘Muhammed’ from the second verse of this Surah which says ‘those who believed with what is revealed upon Muhammed while It is the Truth from their Lord’. This Surah is revealed at Madeena after the migration of Messenger to there. Since the disbelievers are following the falsehood by hiding the Truth, all their deeds have become futile. The believers are following the Truth revealed from their Lord, and are helping Allah by propagating It, He will help them back, and will make enter them in the Paradise which Allah has made it known to them. In the Paradise promised to them, there are at least three rivers from clear water, milk, wine, and purified honey, whereas the disbelievers will be drunk with boiling water which will cut their guts.
This Surah teaches that Messenger and believers can seek forgiveness only to themselves as well as to the believing men and believing women. The hypocrites who do not become proud and rejoicing with Adhikr after receiving It, are the deaf and blind, and Allah has cursed such human Satan. Since they are disagreeing with Messenger by hiding Adhikr and are obstructing mankind from It, all their deeds are futile. This Surah containing 38 verses end by warning that the hypocrites who are niggard to spend in the way of Allah, they are niggard against themselves, and thus when all become transgressors by not spending in the way of Allah the wealth Allah has provided them, He will substitute other people in their place.
