(Zumar) 39 : 7

If you disbelieved, then Allah is so Self-sufficient not need you, He does not like disbelief in His servants, and if you are grateful, He likes you, no bearer of burden bears the burden of others, then your returning is into your the Lord, then He will inform you about what you had been doing, indeed He knows the status of the chests.

The aim of revealing Adhikr is to identify the Lord, confirm that one is a believer, and prepare Paradise from the fourth phase of life in this world to inherit it in the seventh phase of life in the Hereafter. Whoever fulfills this aim of life, male or female, will return to Paradise—the house of Allah. No one can guide any other person to the Straightpath. It is told in verse 10: 108: “Oh mankind, the Truth has come to you from your Lord, so whoever is guided is only guided for his own sake, and whoever goes astray only goes astray for her own sake, and I am not a custodian upon you.” As told in verse 6: 94, everyone has to reply to the Lord individually. It is told in verses 17: 13-14 that Allah has tied everyone’s fate to his neck; and He will produce it as a Book for him on the Day of Judgment that he will find as an Illuminated Spread Open Book. It will be told to him: “You read your book, enough is you for your Reckoning this Day.” Therefore, the Impartial Lord won’t make an interrogation or inform anyone about his worldly life from the Hereafter, but everyone will make his/her reckoning by reading the book of deeds fastened around his neck.

Indeed, He knows the status of chests, which means not only the deeds of everyone, but even his thoughts and feelings are being recorded in the book of deeds, and reckoning will be done for them also from the Hereafter, as explained in verses 17: 13-14. See explanation 6: 165; 29: 68-69; 35: 15-18.
