He created you from a single soul, then He created her spouse from it, and He sent down from the livestock eight pairs for you, and He created you in the bellies of your mother one after another in three darkness, that is Allah your Lord, He has Kingship, there is no Deity except He, then how are you deluded?
Whether male or female, Allah has created everyone from a single soul. ‘In the bellies of your mother,’ said in the verse, was not understood in the previous period. But modern science has found that they are the abdomen, uterus, and amniotic membrane covering the child. Then, Almighty Allah, who has the right and power to create anything and destroy anything, also has the right and power over His creatures to do anything. Through this verse, the disbelievers are asked how they are deluded from Allah while there is none to fear, seek help from, or entrust except Allah. Since mankind does not utilize Adhikr—the Knowledge—they do not consider Allah as He should be considered. To live while holding to Adhikr is the only way to live, considering Allah as the single Deity and Lord. See explanation 3: 101-102; 4: 174-175; 5: 48.
By saying ‘He sent down from the livestock eight pairs for you’ means that not only the livestock, but all living things having souls, including man, were sent down from heaven to earth. Each creature has a soul, and they all will taste death. The peculiarity of mankind over other creatures is that he is endowed with intelligence. It is told in verses 8: 22 and 55 that those who do not utilize Adhikr after It is received are the worst creatures among a thousand communities of the Lord’s creatures.
