(26) Asshuara’

This Surath got the name Asshuara’ (poets) from verse 224 which says: “And upon the aimless poets who follow the human devil hypocrites”. This Surath is revealed during the mid-Meccan period of Messenger’s life. This is the second-largest Surath with 227 verses. No verses were revealed unless the disbelievers have rejected and ridiculed them. This Surath contains summaries of historical events related to Messengers Moses, Ibrahim, Noah, Hood, Swalih, Looth, and Shuaib. When the transgressed people rejected the Lord’s Message and the Messengers, they have been wiped out by saving the Messenger and believers with them. The Best Interpretation of Lord’s Book Adhikr is revealed from Lord through Angel Jibreel to Messenger’s heart to remind and warn mankind up to the Doomsday.

The disbelievers used to ridicule that the Messenger is getting verses from Satan. So Lord replies that Satans from man and Jinn have not brought it down, It is not suitable for them, nor would they be able for it, Indeed they are averted from hearing It. Satans are descending upon every sinful liar and the poets wandering who don’t do what they say. And the Surath ends by saying that soon will the disbelievers know to what destination they will be returned.
