(16) An-Nahl

This Surath is named An-Nahl (Honey bee) from verse 68 which says: “And your Lord inspired to the bee”. This Surath contains 128 verses which are revealed during the last period of Messenger’s Meccan life. Verse 16: 50 is one of the 15 places where compulsory Recitation of Prostration is commanded.

Lord sent down Adhikr to Messengers through His Angels to remind mankind that there is no deity except Him and to judge between whatever they differ in the Book. All 313 Messengers are sent down with Adhikr to teach that one should abstain from Satanic forces and serve the Lord alone. Allah has created heaven, earth, and all that in between from nothingness in the Best manner. Then He created livestock, fruits, crops, vegetables, honey, etc. for mankind. Then he gave man freedom either to be grateful or ungrateful. Lord is reminding mankind by explaining about different stages of worldly life like birth, childhood, puberty, adulthood, and feeble age. The believer should fulfill the contracts and promises made with the Lord and mankind. Lord warns the believers not to be like an aimless woman who untwisted her spun thread after it was perfectly made. One should read Adhikr only by seeking refuge to the Lord from the outcast Satan.

Lord will not guide the aimless disbelievers who hide and reject Adhikr and gives importance to bodily and worldly life than soul and the Hereafter. Such disbelievers will argue against themselves while they are reckoned. The Merciful Lord will forgive those who have done offenses out of ignorance and repent and reform after getting the Knowledge Adhikr. By quoting Messenger Ibrahim, Lord commands the Messenger Muhammad and believers to follow his upright way of life. Lord console the Messenger and believer to be patient even if the people don’t believe after giving Adhikr, and remind them that they just have to deliver the Message. One should invite mankind to the Straightpath only with Adhikr which contains Wisdom verses and Best Advices. The Lord is with the believer who keeps Him in his heart and lives by seeing Him through the Best Book. The death scene of the aimful believer and aimless Fujjar is described in this Surath.
