(103) Al-Aswr
This Surath got the name “Al-Aswr (the Ages)” from the first verse, which says “By the Ages”. This Surath, containing three verses, which was revealed in the early period of the Messenger’s Meccan life, teaches that all human beings are in loss except those who become believers with the Truth Adhikr, and do righteous deeds, and advise with Truth–Adhikr–and advise with patience.
