(Ad-Duha) 93 : 8
وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ

And He found you poor, then made you rich.

Since Muhammed’s father, Abdullah, had died while his grandfather, Abdul Muthwalib, was still alive, Muhammed did not inherit property. In his childhood, he worked grazing goats. After marrying Khadeeja, a widow from the Quraishi tribe, he became the head of the household and managed her business affairs. Thus, he gained self-sufficiency in livelihood. After prophethood, over twenty-three years of Revelation, Adhikr – the Mercy and Prosperity – was completed, and thus Allah made him prosperous by all means. See explanation 42: 52; 92: 6-7.
