(Ash-Shams) 91 : 11
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا
The Thamud people rejected that fact due to their arrogance.
Just like the disbelievers of all periods, the Thamud people also rejected the fact that every soul will only receive, in the seventh phase of the Hereafter, what it has earned in the fourth phase of this worldly life. See explanation 2: 256; 5: 32 and 78: 21-28.
