(At-Thakhveer) 81 : 6
وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ
And when the seas are set ablaze.
One water molecule contains two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Due to pressure variation in the earth on the Last Day, water will split into hydrogen—which burns—and oxygen—which intensifies burning. Thus all seawater will be burned completely, leaving dry land in its place. As explained in verses 26: 63 and 20: 77, the Lord made a dry path in the Red Sea by dividing it into two towering parts when Moses struck it with his staff, in order to save Moses and his followers from Pharaoh and his soldiers.
