(Al-Ma’aarij) 70 : 4
تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ

The Angel and the Rooh will ascend into Him on a Day, the duration of which will be as long as fifty thousand years.

“The Day the duration of which is as long as fifty thousand years” refers the Day from the beginning of the Hereafter till the end of the Judgement. On that Day Angels as well as Rooh will ascend to Allah. As told in verse 78: 38, if it is told as “Rooh and Angels”, it means “Angel Jibreel and other Angels”. But here as in verse 97: 4, it is told “Angels and Rooh”, that means “Angels and Rooh-Spirit-of the forerunners to the Paradise. Since the forerunners have done their reckoning from this world itself by utilizing Adhikr, they can enter Paradise even without attending for reckoning on the horrible Day the duration of which will be fifty thousand years. See explanation 3: 79; and 38: 49-50.
On that Day all mankind and Jinn from Adam till the last Day as well as all other creatures will be gathered at Maccah which is the center of the world. The assembly of Arafa Day in the Hajj pilgrimage refers that gathering on the Day of Judgement. On the Day of Judgement people will be sunk in the sweat according to the seriousness of their sins and offences. It is the Day in which even the Superiors of prophets will wail by saying “my affairs! My affairs!” and “my community! my community!”. People will be hurrying here and there to get separated either to Paradise or to fire. The disbelievers who reject that Day in which the “children will become old man” as explained in verse 73: 17, it will be intolerable to them. But the believers who will enter the Paradise after trial by utilizing Adhikr as the Food, Clothe and Sight of human soul from this world, need not suffer any difficulty. On that Day the content of Surah Al-Baqara and Surah Ali-Imran will give them shade just like the wings of the birds. See explanation 25: 24, 26-30; and 36: 55-58.
People will approach requesting first man and first father Adam to make recommend for conducting the reckoning. But he will get away saying that since I was expelled from the Paradise for tasting the prohibited tree, I have no right to make recommendation near my Lord. Then they will approach first Messenger Noah. He will also get away saying that I have also no right to make recommendation to Allah since I can’t make my wife and son as believers. Then they will approach Messenger Ibrahim who is known as the father of Messengers and is mentioned as friend of Allah through the verse 4: 125. Then he too will get away saying that I have no right for it since I couldn’t make my father as believer. See explanation 60: 4. Then they will approach Messenger Moses saying that you are mentioned as the Speech of Allah, so you may make recommendation to Allah for us. He will reply that I have killed a person mistakenly, so you approach Jesus. They will approach Messenger Jesus saying that you are mentioned as “Rooh-Spirit”, as told in verse 2: 253. So you may make recommendation to Allah for us for conducting the reckoning. He will reply as “since I have not completed belief by leading a married life and having family, I can’t make recommendation to Allah, so you may approach Muhammed. Thus at last they will approach last Messenger and prophet Muhammed. He who deserves ‘Makham Mahmood-Station of Praising and Glory’-as told in verse 17: 79, who has been taken from Masjidul Haram to Masjidul Akhsa and from there to Paradise, and brought back to land bodily within a single night in this worldly life as told in verse 17: 1, and who is sent as Mercy for the entire worlds as told in verse 21: 107 can’t get away from the request. He will say that I deserve for it and will fall in prolonged prostration at Ka’ba. In the prostration he will be given some words for glorifying and praising the Lord which none had ever been given before, and he will glorify and praise the Lord with them. Then the Angels will bring the throne of Allah, and will put it upon Ka’ba, and Allah will establish on the throne. He will command Messenger to raise from the prostration and will ask his demand. Then Messenger will request Allah to conduct the reckoning of His servants and send them either to Paradise or to Fire. Then the reckoning of everyone will be done by reading the book of deeds individually which is fastened on everyone’s neck as explained in verses 17: 13-14. See explanation 1: 3; 32: 5; and 39: 75.
