(Al-Ahraf) 7 : 173

Or you not to say: “Indeed our forefathers associated others with Lord Allah previously, and indeed we were the offspring after them; then are You destroying us because of the deeds of the falsehood men?”

The aim of the covenant made by the Impartial Lord with every individual is not to have a chance for anyone to say on the Day of Judgment that they were heedless about this, or that their forefathers and leaders made them astray.

The Fujjar who are reading these verses in Arabic Quran will not have any excuse on the Day of Judgment. The scene of arguing, quarreling, and blaming the Fujjar each other on the Day of Judgment is explained in verses 2: 165-167. The scene of arguing between the Fujjar parents and their children on the Day of Judgment and in Hell is explained in verses 7: 38-39. The scene of Satan saying about the disbelievers that he had no authority upon mankind except to call, and so they shouldn't blame him, but they blame themselves is explained in verses 14: 21-22. See explanation 2: 170- 171; 5: 33, 104, and 25: 18.
