The people of Moses told him that they would never believe with Moses till they see Lord manifestly as explained in verses 2: 55-56. Then Moses went to Mount Sina with seventy people of him to meet the Lord as explained in verses 7: 155-156. The Jews at the time of Messenger Muhammad claimed that they were following the footsteps of their forefathers. Actually, they were not following the way of any Messenger or Prophet including Moses but were following the strayed ways of their forefathers and thereby Satan as told in verses 2: 170 and 31: 21.
Today, among the whole of mankind, only Fujjar are reading these verses. But they have become heedless and aimless by hiding and rejecting Adhikr. So it is not the Impartial Lord who pushes them into Hell; instead, it is the read, heard, and touched verses that will argue and witness against them and push them into Hell as explained in verse 7: 148. See explanation 2: 2, 63; 7: 2, and 148.
