Then We sent upon them flood, locust, lice, frogs, and blood as distinct signs, then they persisted in their arrogance, and they were a Mujirim people.
It is told in verse 17: 101 that the Children of Israel were given nine clear Signs: The Staff which transformed as serpent as told in verse 7: 107; the hand which became shining when pulled out from the pocket as told in verse 7: 108; years of famine for fruits and cereals as told in verse 7: 130; the failure of the sorcerers as told in verse 7: 119; flood, disturbance of Locusts, Insects, etc. which spread diseases in human and animals, the abundance of frogs, changing of water to blood, and thereby scarcity of water as told in this verse 7: 133.
Today, among mankind Fujjar are only reading these verses. But by leading a life totally against It, they are hurrying for the punishment of the Lord. So whatever Sign they may receive, they will not change their attitude. That is why they are compared to a dog that will not change its attitude whether disturbed or not as explained in verses 7: 175-176. These Mujirims are priding that they are on the Straightpath while all other people belonging to Messenger's community are on the strayed paths. They are falsely guessing and propagating that Paradise is beneath the feet of mothers which is against the teaching of the Lord’s Book. By rejecting the Insight Adhikr as told in verse 6: 104, these wrongdoing worst creatures mentioned in verse 8: 22 even do not know that Paradise is above heaven. The people of the last Messenger are not punished directly by Lord because they will have disgrace in this world and severe punishment in the Hereafter as explained in verse 5: 33.
