(At-Thahreem) 66 : 5
عَسَىٰ رَبُّهُ إِنْ طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَنْ يُبْدِلَهُ أَزْوَاجًا خَيْرًا مِنْكُنَّ مُسْلِمَاتٍ مُؤْمِنَاتٍ قَانِتَاتٍ تَائِبَاتٍ عَابِدَاتٍ سَائِحَاتٍ ثَيِّبَاتٍ وَأَبْكَارًا
If he divorces you all, His Lord may substitute for him wives better than you, who are the submissive, believed, devoted, repenting, serving, fasting, widows and virgins.
Generally since the widows are more obedient, devoted and submissive than the virgins, it is mentioned in this verse about the widows before mentioning the virgins. Khadeeja, the first wife of Messenger Muhammed, was the mother of two children when Muhammed married her. Islam doesn’t prefer to bodily beauty or alluring or deeds, instead it prefers to unity, love and affection, and endeavors based on soul. See explanation 9: 112; 10: 108; and 33: 35.
