Oh, you who believed! If you are called for prayer on the Day of Congregation, then you hurry up to the Remembrance of Allah, and you leave all trades; that is best for you if you have knowledge.
If you are called for prayer on the Day of Congregation,” mentioned in the verse, means if you are called to the prayer on Friday, which is instead of the ‘Dhuhr prayer’ of other days. Since the verse addresses the believers in plural form, it means that performing congregational prayer is commanded only when there is a group of believers. It is told in verse 24: 55 that if there is a group of believers, they will get ruling power; and in verses 9: 5, 123, it is told that if there is a group of believers, the believers should kill the hypocrites who falsify Islam among mankind by hiding and rejecting Adhikr.
After 30 years from the departure of Messenger Muhammad, there has been no group of believers anywhere in the world; instead, there have been only so many groups of Arabic Qur’an Reading Fujjar, including the hypocrites and their Mushrik followers, as explained in verses 30: 30-32 and 48: 6, who belong to the disbeliever Satan’s party mentioned in verse 58: 19. These Fujjar have read verse 83: 29, which says that the Mujirims will ridicule the believers. As explained in verse 7: 40, for these Mujirims, the doors of the heavens won’t be opened for recording their deeds in the Ledger ‘Illiyyeen’ of Paradise mentioned in verse 83: 18.
Since there is no group of believers anywhere in the world, through verses 9: 73 and 25: 52, the odd believer is commanded to do great Jihad with Adhikr towards the hypocrites and Kuffar who hide and reject Adhikr. Since such disbelievers are earning Hellfire by performing prayer, fasting, Hajj, Umra, etc., as explained in verses 25: 65-66, the believers, who pray with the soul: “Oh, Lord! You make us leaders for the heedful who follow Adhikr,” as explained in verse 25: 74, are not allowed to participate in their congregational prayer or perform funeral prayer and seek forgiveness for them, as explained in verses 9: 84-85, 113-114; and 47: 19. See explanation 9: 71-72; 29: 45; and 58: 22.
Without saying “if you are called for prayer on the Day of Congregation, then you hurry up to the congregational prayer,” it is said that “if you are called for prayer on the Day of Congregation, then you hurry to the Remembrance of Allah.” That is, if there is a group of believers and they are called for congregational prayer on Friday, they should attend the Remembrance of Allah, which means the speech that causes one to have the Remembrance of Allah, by leaving all their trades and other engagements. In other words, the speech done before the prayer should be Adhikr—the Speech of the Lord—considering verses 2: 113, 213; and 4: 105. The speech should also aim to form a single group of believers, as explained in verses 3: 103; 49: 9-10; and 58: 22. Otherwise, Lord Allah will assemble the disbelieving hypocrites and their blind-following disbelievers in Hellfire, as explained in verse 4: 140. It is told in verse 10: 100 that without the Permission of Allah—Adhikr—none can become a believer. Since Adhikr—the Best Interpretation of the Lord’s Book mentioned in verse 25: 33—is codified as a Book today, the mode of prayer and lifestyle of the odd believer who testifies to Adhikr should be as explained in verses 7: 205-206. See explanation 35: 28-29; 39: 23; and 51: 55.
