Surely you have the best example in Ibrahim and those with him, when they told to their people that indeed we are freeing from you as well as whatever you have been serving besides Allah, we disbelieve in you, and there began enmity and hatred between us and you forever until you believe with Allah as single Deity, except what Ibrahim told to his father, ‘surely I will seek forgiveness for you, while I do not possess anything for you from Allah’; Oh our Lord! Upon You we are entrusting, and into you we are turning, and into you is our returning.
Not only to Messenger Muhammed and to his companions, but to the believers until the Last Day have best example in Messenger Ibrahim and who were with him. At that time only Sara who is his wife and Looth who is the son of his brother were with Ibrahim. That means there were no believers even in the ratio one in every thousand. Even then they declared together to their people as ‘ we will not consider you as believers until you become serving Allah by believing in Him as single Deity, and that there are enmity and hatred between us and you, and we are getting free from all relations from you as well as whom you are serving besides Allah ’. But there is no best example in Ibrahim told to his father that I will seek forgiveness for you to Allah. That means there is no best example in it to Messenger Muhammed or to the believers.
