We have decreed death among you, and We will not be overcome.
The Three-Time Knower Lord Allah, who has created everything in the earth, including mankind, within two days, has also inscribed in the Book Adhikr—the preservation of which is undertaken by Him—in which country, shape, gender, and era everyone has to take birth, in which country and time one should die, and how long one should live in this world, etc. It is told in this verse that no one can live in this world eternally by overcoming the Lord’s Decree. As explained in verse 40: 68, the forerunners, who will go to Paradise even without the Trial, can decide their own death, since they are utilizing Adhikr as the Safeguard against all calamities, disasters, diseases, and Hellfire, as explained in verse 5: 48.
