(Ar-Rahman) 55 : 15
وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍ
And He created Jinn (Sprites) from the flames of the fire.
It is told in verse 15: 27 that Sprites were created before mankind was created. See explanation 7: 12.
