ADHIKR

The camel of Allah had water every day, whereas the people and their cattle had water only on fixed days. The people who were suffering scarcity of water considered the camel as a nuisance. Then they plotted to kill the camel, and thus a worst evil one among them killed it. They by hastening for the punishment told Swalih, ‘we have fulfilled our venture, then you bring the punishment you have been promising!’ Then Messenger Swalih told them to wait for three days. On the third day night they plotted to kill Messenger Swalih and his family. But before dawning the next day, that people were destroyed by an earthquake. See explanation 11: 64-66; and 27: 47-50.
