(Al-Addariyath) 51 : 45
فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْتَصِرِينَ
Then they were unable to stand up, and they were not helped.
The people of Prophet Swalih were making their houses by drilling into the rocks. By the earthquake, when their houses fell upon them, they couldn’t even stand up, nor were they helped by any others. Thus, they were destroyed with their own creations. See explanation 28: 81; and 50: 36.
