(Muhammad) 47 : 26
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ ۖ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ
That is because they said to those who hated what Allah sent down, “We will obey you in some matters,” while Allah knows their secrets.
Those who hated what Allah sent down were the Jews at Medina at that time, and those who promised obedience were the Hypocrites. Today, these groups are represented by Hypocrites and their blind followers among Arabic Qur’an Reading Fujjar. See explanation 5:41, 64; 40:19; and 59:11–13.
