Then what are they waiting for except the Last Hour, which will come to them suddenly, while surely its signs have already come? The,n when it comes to them, how will their remembrance benefit them?
As explained in verses 39:55–59, after receiving Adhikr, the Best, in the language of the heart, the disbelievers who do not utilise It now will be ready to believe later, but it will not benefit them. As told in verse 89:23, when Hell is brought forth, the human will remember how good it would have been if he had utilised Dhikra, Adhikr. It is told in verse 6:158 that they are only waiting for the Angels to come to them, or for your Lord to come, or for some of the signs of your Lord to come. On the Day when some of your Lord’s signs come, belief will not benefit any soul who did not believe before or whose belief earned no good. You say: You wait; indeed, we are also waiting.
