And the one who said to his parents: Fie upon both of you! Do you both promise me that I will be resurrected, while many generations have passed before? And they both sought Allah for help: Woe to you! You believe, indeed, the promise of Allah is the Truth. Then he says: Indeed, it is nothing except the tales of ancestors.
The parents mentioned in this verse are believers, while the son is a disbeliever. When the parents advise the son that after death everyone will be resurrected for the Day of Judgment, and on that Day everyone must answer before the Lord for this worldly life after the age of fifteen years, he refuses the advice, saying that many generations have passed and have not returned, and that what they say is only tales of ancestors. Upon such children, the word of the Lord has come true, as mentioned in the coming verse. The Fujjar who do not transform their Jinn Soulmate into a believer with Adhikr will die witnessing against their souls that indeed, they were disbelievers, as explained in verse 7: 37. They will be gathered in the narrowed fire with their forefathers who passed before them, and there they will be quarreling, arguing, and cursing one another, as explained in verses 7: 38–39 and 38: 55–61. See explanation 16: 24, 18: 80–81, and 45: 25–26.
