(Az-Zukhuruf) 43 : 35

And of gemstone, while all of them are but sustenance of this worldly life; and the Hereafter, near your Lord, is for the heedful.

The hypocrites who consider wealth, power, and worldly adornment as the criterion of Truth do not approve of the Lord Allah as Impartial. Since the disbelievers are earning Hellfire here for the Hereafter, they are given more worldly livelihood and sustenance than the believers. But if livelihoods and sustenance were given only to such disbelievers—hypocrites and their followers—everyone would become a disbeliever, and thus all would become a single community of disbelievers. For not to become so, some believers are also given sustenance and livelihoods. So the believer who understands the aim of life will prepare Paradise here, utilizing all favors—including wealth and influence, which are not brought at birth and will not be taken at death—under the Light of Adhikr, the Best Favor and Prosperity. See explanation 2: 254; 3: 185; 7: 32; and 39: 32-33.
