(Az-Zukhuruf) 43 : 30
وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ قَالُوا هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ وَإِنَّا بِهِ كَافِرُونَ

And when the Truth came to them, they said: “This is sorcery, and indeed, we are disbelieving in It.”

Before deputing Muhammad as Messenger with the Lord’s Book—Adhikr—as explained in verse 15: 9, his people (Meccan pagans) were expecting a Book from the Lord and a Messenger. But when he was deputed as Messenger with Adhikr, seeing that Its teaching is against their life and the practices of their forefathers, instead of correcting their lifestyle, they rejected It, blaming it as a manifest sorcery. Today, seeing the lifestyle of the Arabic Quran-reading Fujjar who rejoice that they are the bearers of the Lord’s Book but are leading a life against Its dos and don’ts, it has become fearful and hateful even to hear the word “Quran” for the people of the Messenger’s community, such as Jains, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Christians, etc. These Mujirims who have lost the aim of life will ask from Hellfire, calling the Angel Malik: “Oh Malik! Let your Lord put an end to us.” Then Malik will reply: “Indeed, you have to abide in it forever; We have come to you with the Truth; but most of you hated the Truth,” as warned through verses 43: 74-78. See explanation 6: 155-157; 9: 32-33; 25: 17-18; and 25: 27-30.
