(Mu'amin) 40 : 66
قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَمَّا جَاءَنِيَ الْبَيِّنَاتُ مِنْ رَبِّي وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
You say: Indeed I am forbidden to serve those whom you invoke besides Allah while Evidence has come to me from my Lord, and I am commanded to submit whole to the Lord of the worlds.
Since the Messenger and the believer have Adhikr, they are not allowed to serve anyone other than Allah. Whoever serves anyone other than Allah after receiving the Lord’s Book is serving Satan, as explained in verse 4: 117. Today, the worst creatures mentioned in verse 8: 22, who are reading these verses, are serving Satan and are the inmates of fire with him. See explanation 36: 59-62; 39: 11-12; 40: 50, 60.
