(Annisa) 4 : 93

And whoever kills a believer deliberately, then his reward is the Hell, he will live in it forever; Lord Allah’s wrath is upon him and He has cursed him, and He has kept prepared severe punishment for him.

The first murder that took place on earth is the murder of Habeel by his brother Qabeel who were the sons of the first man Adam. It is told in verse 5: 30: “Qabeel's soul yielded for the murder”. From that, it is understood that the murder was done deliberately. The Lord has taught through His Messenger that Qabeel is the pioneer of murder in the world. So he will get a portion of the punishment for every murder that takes place on earth. Lord has recorded in the Book for the children of Israel that if anyone kills a person except as a punishment for killing a person or causing destruction on earth, then it is as if he has killed the whole mankind, while if anyone saves a life, it is as if he has granted life to the whole mankind as explained in verses 5: 32-33. Being the explanation of verse 39: 53, Lord has taught through His Messenger that Lord has accepted the repentance of a person who has committed one hundred murders unintentionally. It is told in verses 39: 55-58: “You follow the Best Book Adhikr revealed to you by your Lord before the death comes to you all of a sudden, while you don’t even perceive it. Lest you will say: ‘Alas! I have neglected my duty towards Lord, and I was one of those who mocked at His verses’, or lest you will say: `If Lord had guided me, I would have been one of the heedful’, or lest you will say on seeing the punishment: `I wish if I had another chance, I would have surely been among those who live by seeing Lord through Adhikr’". And as per verse 39: 59, to any Fujjar who reads these verses but lives without testifying Adhikr, Lord will tell him at the time of his death that he was among the disbelievers. Those who cause difficulties for the believing men and believing women and then repent not will surely suffer the punishment of Hell and the torment of Burning as told in verse 85: 10. The believer will follow a lifestyle explained in verses 7: 205-206. See explanation 2: 178-179; 3: 21-22, and 4: 29-31.
