And repentance is not for those who are doing evil deeds until the death comes, and one of them says: "Indeed I have repented now", and nor for those who are dying while they are disbelievers, for them, We have kept prepared painful punishment.
Repentance means to return to Lord Allah. That means to return to the position from where he started to deviate. All are born in Islam which is the natural way of life. Islam also means to submit wholly to the Creator Lord. Therefore, repentance is returning to nature, to obedience, to the Creator, and Straightpath Adhikr.
It is told in verse 7: 172-173: "You remember when your Lord took from the nape of children of Adam their offspring and made them witnessing upon their soul: 'Am I not your Lord?' They said: 'Of course, we do witness!' you shouldn't say on the Day of Judgment as: 'We were heedless about this'. Or you shouldn't say: “Indeed, our ancestors associated others with Lord before, and indeed we were the offspring after them; then are You destroying us because of the deeds of the falsehood men?'” Today, among mankind only Fujjar are reading these verses. But they have become worthless by forgetting the Splendid Book Adhikr as told in verse 25: 18. Upon them, Lord’s curse and wrath have happened, and for them, the Hell is kept prepared as told in verses 9: 67-68; 18: 101; and 25: 33-34. It is told in verses 39: 58- 59: "At the time of any of Fujjar's death, he will wail as: 'If I would get a chance, I would have become those who live testifying the Best Book Adhikr'. Then the Lord will reply him 'Nay, indeed, My verses had come to you, but you rejected them, and you were arrogant upon Them, and you were among the disbelievers". Since the Fujjar were deaf, blind, and dumb towards Adhikr, they will never return into the Straightpath as explained in verse 2: 18.
The believer who holdfasts Adhikr, he did holdfast Lord and is guided into the Straightpath as explained in verse 5: 48. See explanation 2: 254; 3: 90-91 and 10: 90-92.
