(Swaad) 38 : 17
اصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُودَ ذَا الْأَيْدِ ۖ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ
You be patient with what they are saying, and you remember and remind others Our servant Dawood who has kingship, he was repeatedly turning to Us.
Even though Messenger Dawood who was also an Emperor had ruling power and strength, he was always depending on Lord Allah and was engaged in glorifying Him to establish the remembrance of Him. See explanation 3: 190-191; 4: 140, and 9: 112-114.
