(Yaaseen) 36 : 31
أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ

Haven’t they seen “how many generations We have destroyed before them; indeed they are not returning to them?”

Through this verse, the Lord asks the disbelievers, “Are you clinging to this worldly life, thinking it is eternal? Haven’t you considered that you must leave all your comforts behind at any time, just like those who were destroyed before you?” Today, the Fujjar, who read these verses in the Arabic Quran, are living a more aimless life than any other people, without any consciousness that this life is temporary and that eternal life is in the Hereafter. See explanation 6:96; 23:115; 28:60; 29:64.
