(Saba'a) 34 : 19

Then they prayed: Oh our Lord! You increase our distance between our travel base, thus they do wrong against their soul, and then We made them as tales, and We dispersed them into countless scattered fragments; indeed in it, there are lessons for every thankful patient.

Even though it is told in this verse they prayed: ‘Oh our Lord! You increase our distance between our travel base’, they had not made such prayer to Lord directly. Instead, their deeds were praying so. That means instead of traveling peacefully for business in the day and night through the safe cities and making earnings by business with Justice even in the journey, they forget the Lord did business through unfair ways and malpractices such as cheating, theft, robbery, reduce in measurement and weight, etc. They did so in the greed of becoming rich soon and taking rest for more days. The result was that theft, robbery, cheating, murder, etc. increased and the cities became unfit to travel at night so they were compelled to rest in the night. Gradually such malpractices were spread to all places and they couldn’t travel safely even in the daytime. At last, their life became so crucial that they were compelled to leave even their places and they were scattered in small groups and were reached to other places. That is the meaning of ‘We made them as tales, and We dispersed them into countless scattered fragments’ mentioned in the verse. The moral lesson from this is that even though a country and its people are in a very safe and secure condition if the people of it are becoming wrongdoers and transgressors, their destruction is very near and inevitable. Today Fujjar including the hypocrites and their blind followers are reading these verses. But they by hiding and rejecting Adhikr-the Balance and Trust to keep the universe in its equilibrium- are in a prayer to make the prediction of Adhikr including the Dooms Day. They are in front of all evils such as bribing, black money, smuggling, adulteration, and corruption as explained in verses 2: 168-169. Thus they are hurrying for the arrival of the 30th pseudo prophet Antichrist and there by Dooms Day. See explanation 7: 85-86; 16: 125; 33: 72-73.
