(Saba'a) 34 : 16
فَأَعْرَضُوا فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَيْلَ الْعَرِمِ وَبَدَّلْنَاهُمْ بِجَنَّتَيْهِمْ جَنَّتَيْنِ ذَوَاتَيْ أُكُلٍ خَمْطٍ وَأَثْلٍ وَشَيْءٍ مِنْ سِدْرٍ قَلِيلٍ
Then they neglected, thus We sent upon them flood bursting the Dam, and We changed their gardens into two gardens yielding bitter fruits, tamarisks, and some Jujube trees.
Instead of leading a life remembering the Lord and becoming grateful to the Lord, they forgot the Lord and led an ungrateful life. Due to this, the Lord sent a flood to their garden breaking the Dam so that the fertility of the land was lost, and the land became filled with gravel stone which was suitable only for growing bitter fruits, tamarisks trees, jujube trees, etc.
