And a group of them said: “Oh people of Yasrib! You can’t withstand here, so you go back”; whereupon a group among them asked permission to Messenger for leaving saying that indeed our houses are insecure, while they were not insecure, indeed they were intending nothing except flee.
Before the arrival of Messenger Muhammad at Madeena, the name of Madeena was Yasrib. When the Hypocritical leaders told that Oh people of Yasrib! You can’t withstand here, so you go back, some companions of Messenger started to ask permission to leave the battlefield. They told us false reasons such as there is no door to our houses, there are only women in our houses, etc. Their houses were not insecure. But they intended to flee from the field. Today the Arabic Quran reading Fujjar are fleeing from Adhikr-the Ticket to Paradise-just like the wild donkeys are fleeing hearing the lion roar as told in verses 74: 49-51.
