Jews at the time of Messenger criticized him for eating the flesh and milk of Camel because they were falsely claiming that those are forbidden in Torah. As a reply, Lord commands Messenger to say: “You are bound to live according to the laws of Torah, so you bring and recite It to me”. Prophet Ya’qoob who is also known as ‘Israel’ had made a covenant with the Lord that he is ready to avoid his favorite food camel’s meat and milk for healing his illness. Ya’qoob did so by himself willingly, and it was not forbidden in Torah.
Today, the Arabic Quran reading Fujjar are falsely boasting and claiming that they are in the Truth. But by hiding and rejecting Adhikr they are the true disbelievers who are leading a worthless way of life as explained in verses 4: 150-151. So, the other people belonging to Messenger’s community such as Jains, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, and Christians will only approve and utilize Adhikr as explained in verse 6: 89. It is told in verses 62: 2-3 that illiterates will accept Adhikr than the arrogant literates. See explanation 2: 111-113, 173, and 213.
