(An-Naml) 27 : 56
فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا أَخْرِجُوا آلَ لُوطٍ مِنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ
Then the answer of his people was not except that they said: "Banish the family of Looth from your country; indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure".
It is told in verse 83: 29: “Indeed, the Mujirims used to laugh at the believers in this worldly life”. The wrongdoing transgressors used to ridicule Messenger and believers until they taste Lord’s punishment as told in verse 38: 8. Family of Looth means the believers from his family and the believers from his people. See explanation 2: 212 and 11: 86.
