And you speak gently with him, perhaps he may be reminded or become fearful".
He may be reminded means every mankind including Pharoah is taught Adhikr from the Paradise itself. So by seeing Lord’s signs, he may remember. Pharoah has declared to his people that he is their most high lord as told in verse 79: 24. So at first, Moses and Haroon were commanded to remind Pharoah about the Lord of worlds gently. But when Pharaoh rejected Lord’s Signs and become a true transgressor, Moses and Haroon were inspired to pray against him as explained in verses 10: 88-89. Thus he was punished by drowning in the sea as explained in verses 10: 90-92.
Messenger Muhammad was commanded to deal gently with the hypocrites in Medina after the Battle of Uhud as explained in verse 3: 159. But later he was commanded to do great Jihad against the Kuffar and hypocrites as explained in verse 9: 73. And if there is a group of believers, Lord has even commanded to kill them as explained in verses 9: 5 and 123. But that command will be implemented only after the second coming of Jesus.
As there is no group of believers, the odd believer who testifies Adhikr will do Jihad against the Fujjar and will follow a mode of prayer and lifestyle as explained in verses 7: 205-206. See explanation 4: 63; 7: 175-176 and 22: 77-78.
