(Isra) 17 : 46

And We have made a lid upon their hearts to understand It, and a veil upon their ears; and when you mention your Lord alone in this Reading, they turn back in hate.

Disbelievers at Mecca have told Messenger in verse 41: 5: "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and a lid upon our ears and a veil between you and us, so you do your deeds, and we are doing ours”. It is told in verse 39: 45: “And when about Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who don’t believe in the Hereafter shrink with hate, but when about those other than He is mentioned, immediately they will rejoice”. It is told in verse 32: 22: “And who does most wrong than the one who is remembered with the verses of his Lord, then neglects them; indeed We will take revenge with such Mujirims”. Today, Arabic Quran reading Fujjar are reading these verses. They are worse than any other people since they hide and reject Adhikr which is in the heart’s language.

Indeed the ones who believe with Our verses are those when they are remembered with them, they will fall in prostration Glorifying and Praising their Lord and they are not having false pride as told in verse 32: 15. The believer who testifies Adhikr will only do the Prostration of Recitation mentioned in 15 verses. See explanation 6: 25-26; 7: 205-206 and 16: 43-44.
